Hello People!! Japan`s highest volcano mountain Mount Fujiyama is located 100km in south-west of Tokyo. As, it is identified by its round mountain top. So, it can be viewed from Tokyo on a clear day. That many centuries have passed, and it has erupted volcano in a fair amount which has scattered far away in nearby areas. As time passed, lava`s surface cooled down and it`s fertile soil completely nurtured minerals, and a forest sprouted around. The Japanese named it`s north-western part Aokigahara and its residents believe that it`s haunted by ghosts and demented souls. But then those inspired by nature utterly tenacious gather here to find relief as an escape from the burdens of their lives and to refresh in its vivacious environment along fixed paths followed by their return to lives. But some people among them come with like an intent of no return, as they are so depressed and thwarted by their lives and use a jungle as a means to end themselves. This dark ritual of suicide goes back to ancient roots in Japan among its people. To be honest, it`s related to their life`s dignity and belief. In ancient Japan, the people positioned on higher ranks which were said to be Samurai ended their lives by their hands as a consequence, when suffered defeat in battle or given penalty by the King as at that time they considered it to be an honorable death. And this way of suicide is called by the name Hara-kiri in the whole wide world. As they claimed, in this way the one committing it could regain his lost rank and honor in the society. Though the ritual was declared brutal by some king Mei-Jei nearly 150 years ago, his decision discouraged the harakiri. However, it didn’t end completely and was carried on after 1970 to some extent. Well, in modern Japan suicide isn’t committed to restore dignity & honor but in conclusion to social conduct, mental pressure, loneliness, complex of unemployment, high interest on loans etc. If we take a look, Japan is among the most developed nations of the world. A society in which technology lavishes and enchants in every part of life. Even toilets are operated by technology. The bathrooms and the commodes. Their lifestyles and economic growth is an example for other nations. Their lifestyle is an example for other countries. Japanese believe in facilitating all needs of life through technology. By using concepts like Automation and Miniaturization in the factories, from coworker robots to production of ball-point nib sized chips, all have made their place in their daily lives. But this hi-fi way lifestyle and automatic society makes it hard to see the cons of it. But the effects on human lives being automated are clear in the last 2 decades. No doubt, that the Machine-Labor has greatly increased the work capacity. But it has also negatively impacted the human-labor in matters of trade. In order to meet the needs of their jobs as required on time the employees have to work 14 to 16 hours constantly and this maybe continued for several years. A young man could possibly tolerate 3 to 4 years of this fatigue regularly because after it his muscles may start giving up and soon he becomes unable to work and after being unemployed, depression catches up whose basic reason is the absence of an alternate job on time. To compensate for the loss, owners of companies get burdened by loan and, in bankruptcy face financial and psychological pressure. Then they see only 1 way out. That is to end their lives, claim the insurance money, pay back the loan and to other companies and relieve their relatives from it. Those accustomed to this life are also linked with the Japanese socialism. The quality and way of life in Japan depends upon good income and individual development. A comfy life reflects their dream of it in response to their dignity and honor. They work their ass off day and night for a better income and security. When accomplishing their goal they sacrifice their rest and even neglect their families in the way. It gets difficult to maintain the illusion when they face ups and downs or unemployment since stating compulsions or needs to anyone isn’t considered decent. This is why such people suffer loneliness and continue fighting alone with their problems and can`t even ease the mental pressure with their families. And in this case only one option seems feasible to them that is to end their lives to get rid of their social reality and regrets with also claiming the insurance money to relax the social burdens of their relatives. Such people subject to sleeping pills or open gas pipelines to end themselves while some go to Aokigahara to hang themselves thereby reliving memory of Harakiri. In such environment, no one has time for these defeated people subjected to social behavior and their religion is silent in this matter. Japan has made limitless advances in technology. But this is achieved by losing ethical and moral values. Fast improvements of technology has ripped apart the social context. These days’ average 30,000 people commit suicide in Japan. Pakistan is on the verge of receiving fruition in its modern progress. But the bases of technology or progress in Pakistan are not like the ones established in other countries. However Pakistan seems in, regarding latest trends in science and technology. And as it changes so does the chances of employment but with high hiring rates. Also our nation is going astray from their religion and is more indulgent in procrastination which can give rise to same problematic situation which is a continuous headache for well-developed countries specially Japan. We need a process which doesn’t alter are personality religiously, ethically and spiritually otherwise it paralyzes our ability to think and perceive as situation worsens. Our leaders, religious scholars and most importantly senior members of a family are required to adhere changes which are accountable for the divergence of new generation from its religion and moral values. We should conspire with the new generation to maintain our traditions while emerging in the light of progress.
