Lahore: Pakistan made a move-i-fairness on Wednesday
on a resolution in the Punjab Assembly calling for a ban on the popular Japanese manga and anime series Doraemon.
The resolution urges Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to ban cartoon channels in general, and Doraemon in particular.
Provided by the Agency legislator Taimoor Malik,
also it indicates the decision to determine hours of cartoon channels.
It is not clear from the decision that the agency is an issue with Doraemon,
but said the channel’s exclusive cartoons have had “a detrimental effect on children.”
“Cartoon channels on the 24 hours have a negative impact on education and material well-being of children,” read the resolution, which is likely to be discussed at the next session of parliament.
Without giving any details, the resolution said: “The language used in the fees and the destruction of social standards we have.”
“There must be a certain timing. Mahmoud said,” Indian foreign culture and language have a significant impact on young children who are vulnerable.
“We do not want a ban, the timing controls only,” explained Mahmoud.
