Misbah receives test mace from ICC for the first time
Pakistan captain Misbah ul Haq received test right scepter test, given to the best team in the world in the shape,
of the International Cricket Council (ICC) today in Lahore.
Speaking at the ceremony at the Gaddafi Stadium,
he said the player, aged 42 years, “This is an exciting opportunity for us, for me and for the team as well,
to receive such an honor for our country.”
He added: “We are really happy about it but in the end we are number one.”
This is the first time that a Pakistani commander received this award.

Pakistan has risen to number one in the longer form of the game after a 2-2 draw with England in England.

some great team and individual performance.
But I am confident that things will change and will of the international cricket will soon return to Pakistan.”
He said test captain was delighted to hold a scepter in the twilight of his career.
“It was always a dream to lift the trophy for the International Criminal Court in the leadership team and
to achieve this honor in the traditional form of the game is something to be very proud of,” he said.
“This mace is a reward for the efforts and hard work of everyone who was part of this group over the past few years.”

International Criminal Court chairman David Richardson,
who made a misbah with a scepter, congratulated the national team as well.
