Apple, which has long accused the competitors from copying the look of its iPhone, is getting the same treatment.
Shenzhen Baili known Chinese company claims that Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus looks very much like its own phone 100C. Last month, Beijing Intellectual Property organized response to the charge by requesting a ban on the sales of iPhone models in the capital, according to the Wall Street Journal.
In spite of the ban, not all iPhone continues to sell there because Apple filed an appeal, the company confirmed on Friday.
“We have appealed to an administrative order from the regional patent court in Beijing last month, as a result of the review of IP Beijing court it remained suspended,” the company said in a statement sent via e-mail to CNET.
Baili claim apparently does not affect the latest iPhone 6S or 6S Plus, which engages in a similar look.
System represents the latest setback for Apple in the Chinese market is an increasingly important and comes after the company lost the right to the trademark “iPhone” in the spring of this year. China, which represents a quarter of Apple’s sales, is the largest mobile market in the world. This country is also room for growth at a time when many consumers in the United States or Western Europe already has the iPhone.
China is a difficult place for international companies to work, though. Google has withdrawn many of its services out of the country for years because of censorship concerns. In May, Apple iTunes and iBooks government closed and services.
The trouble of selling within China is not crimping Apple’s desire to create a large presence in the country. CEO Tim Cook said last month, Apple has invested $ 1000000000 to ride service Hailing Didi Chuxing, Uber’s main rival in China, as an opportunity “to learn more about certain segments of the Chinese market”, told Reuters.
