Qawwali singer and Amjad Sabri was killed in an armed attack by unidentified miscreants in Liaquatabad area reported Wednesday.
Preliminary details of the attack indicate that four unidentified gunmen over two motorcycles opened fire on his car.
Informed sources said that the police that a ten bullets fired at least on the car with four penetrate the car on the sides and six windscreen passes.
Reportedly, two bullets fatally wounded Sabri with one penetrating facial and other chest.
Sabri was heading to a private TV channel studio to participate in the transfer of Iftari when he was attacked.
Sindh has taken Interior Minister Suhail Anwar Sial notice Sabri’s killing and demanded the accident report from Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) m-Khawaja and Additional IG. Sial also called high-level meeting during the sad happening.
Pakistan condemned the equity movement (KUNA) chairman Imran Khan incident, he said the attack on Sabri is a question mark about the measures by the local government taken to ensure peace in the province.
Also condemned Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the attack and expressed condolences over the death of Sabri’s with his family.
He and former president of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari sadness over the terrible incident.
