Football Association plans to increase the FA Cup prize money in order to help reduce League clubs, says CEO Martin Glenn.
In October, the FA has signed a six-broadcast overseas rights deal for the post season in the FA Cup – reportedly worth £ 820M.
He said Glenn Football Association could raise the current £ 25M fund because of the deal, which start from the 2018-19 season.
“The FA Cup is a great way to redistribute money to the lower league,” said Glenn BBC Radio 5 Live.
“The prize fund is £ 25M”, said Glenn Sportsweek. “We’re looking to increase that over the coming years, we hope to benefit the small clubs.”
He also said Glenn Football Association may look at the introduction of the “unity” of the payment of money that will help the division more alike. Under the current system, the clubs get a larger amount of money if the televised match

Sports Minister warned Tracey Crouch last month that the government will work on legislation to impose FA reforms if the governing body does not make the same changes, determine the April deadline for the Football Association to “determine the path of reform.”

“You could do three sets of four years, and then move on new blood so that it can come through.”
