ways to get success in business
“If you want to be successful and do not have the proper authorization and documentation,
improvise by creating something special from all the normal ingredients happen to be available,” he says.
He shares his knowledge of improvisation in the book: an unconventional career guidance of the CEO is not likely (Garnet Publishing, 2014),
with the hope that college graduates will discover there is more than one path to success.
Here are five tips for him to improvise your career:

“Ultimately, you’ll have more ideas than anyone else because you have seen more,” says Cook.
“Most of the ideas are generated by looking at something that exists in a new and different way,
and when the collection of life experiences, draw from a larger database.”
2. the risk of failure.
We are all dreaming of ideas for new products and services
and some of us even reserve the URLs, but what most of us do not do is to take a risk and try.
Cook says everyone should have at least one important “screw” in their careers, preferably while they’re young.
Was it a miss Sober driver, and business was launched in California in the 20S him early,
and drunk driving people home.
“Ultimately they failed because customers were in the case of too drunk to communicate,” he says.
“But the idea generated a lot of press and
even was featured in the Wall Street Journal.
When you start your own business you learn so much more than I had with me.”
3. Working for tips.
Gleaned some of the best knowledge Cook occurred in jobs is likely.
It was his favorite when he was working the concierge at a five star hotel in Los Angeles.
In fact, it was thanks to this position also knows the importance of customer service.
“I have learned that it is not always grandiose gestures to convince people,
but it is as small as remember their name recognition and the birth of their children” things, he says.
The difference between improvisation and drift?
Find out where you want to end up.
4. Do not rush.
When they enter the labor market, it can be tempting to find your dream job right away,
and lost other opportunities.
Instead, Cook suggests taking your time without having to worry where you are in comparison with your colleagues.
“When I eventually decided it was time to enter the premises of the companies,
and you’re 36-15 years behind everyone,” he says.
He interviewed for the entry positions,
but once got in, he excelled and climb the corporate ladder faster.
“I had a life experience to draw on ideas and I had learned not to be afraid to try new things or ask for opportunities,” he says.
“I may have started late, but once I picked up speed.”
5. Make your bases.
When it comes to finding your dream job,
and there are many different ways of getting there, says Cook.
It is suggested that people think about their careers like a holiday. If you are planning to complete the course, and book hotels and museums are chosen,
you end up with a cookie cutter experience.
But if you go off the beaten path, you’ll meet people and find places you never knew existed.
The difference between improvisation and drift? “Knowing where you want to end up,” says Cook.
“But life is so much more interesting if you do not have a map for every step of the way.”
