The campaign reached by the brother of Victoria Wood’s organization to create a statue of the artist to her hometown to bury the £ 20,000 target.
The run Chris Foote Wood collective financing a campaign to erect life-size statue of his sister,
who died of cancer in April at the age of 62.
However it is now seeking to further £ 10,000 to cast a statue and transfer of solid bronze,
and fix it in place.
“Thanks to the hundreds of fans of Victoria, we can pay now a sculptor,” he said.
“Bronze casting is an expensive exercise, and there are transportation and determine costs.”
Bury the Council provide the site at the Library Gardens in Manchester way and will maintain the sculpture.
He pledged long as Judi Dench £ 1000 to the Fund,
while the anonymous donor gave £ 740 on Tuesday to push it more than £ 20,000 mark.
He wrote that the donors: “Your sister made me laugh so hard from the age of 14 so that left us (a whopping 32 years) … will continue to do so for the rest of my days that feel the least we can do in return. Do it!”
Foote Wood also asks fans to vote on whether a statue of her as Brin Dinnerladies or friend Kimberly.
Friend Kimberly is currently in the lead with 56% of the vote.
It costs £ 2 to vote and poll closes on Monday, October 17 afternoon.
If it is possible to collect full of money, and is expected to be held in May or June next year the statue.
